Without a doubt Apples mobile operating system iOS has became a major player in the gaming world. It is the most popular way to play games on the go, with this in mind would Apple ever actually make a dedicated gaming device? Maybe a home console?

Nintendo adamant about iOS development

It is no secret that Nintendo have currently been under a lot of pressure, mainly by investors to port there games to the iOS platform.

Nintendo held a press event just days before the Tokyo Game Show, where the companies president Satoru Iwata confirmed the company would never go down this road.

iPads and Grandparents

The iPad has changed so much in so little time, the amount of people who are now using these devices to complete everyday tasks is astonishing. From surfing the Internet to following recipes, the amount of content now available in your hands is just breath taking to a lot of people, my grandad one of them...

My grandad was far from tech savvy, just the thought of operating a PC would turn him blue. He was too set in his ways, these ways being far from modern, thinking the only way to get what he wanted was from Newspapers, TV and Teletext!

Mac Vs Windows

As I have mentioned I recently took the plunge and purchased my first iMac, before I publish my review on the machine I would like to discuss the common question which is 'Windows or Mac?'.

Before I decided to purchase the iMac I was torn between two machines, one being the iMac and the other a high end Windows gaming machine. Discussion after discussion with everyone I know always arrived at the same conclusion, "Get the Windows machine!". Apart from a hand full of people this is the response I always received.

Guess what? Of all the people who recommended the Windows machine, none of them had ever used an iMac or anything Remotely linked to OSX.

Touchscreen iMac

Unless you have been asleep for the past 5 years you will have heard how much of an impact Apples product have made on the world of technology.

This is without a doubt all thanks to iOS, the mobile operating system that powers the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. With Apples latest release of it's Mac operating system (OSX Lion), a few features have been carried over from iOS to the suite of desktops and laptops they offer.

iPhone 5 delayed?

It is common knowledge by now that the new iPhone shall come in two iterations, one being the iPhone 5 and the other a supposedly cheaper iPhone 4. Due to production issues the iPhone 5 may not see a release until 2012.

The way in which the new iPhone is supposedly designed is causing trouble with the assemblers, with it's larger screen, rounded and thinner body.

This news might come as a blow to the onslaught of Apple fans eagerly awaiting the new release.

A long wait for the iPad 3?

Following the rumours of a third iteration of the iPad releasing within the same year as the second, I'll share my thoughts on how this is simply what it is, a RUMOUR.

The iPads success has competitors stumbling all over the place trying to compete with the machine, to release a third iteration from a business stand point would make no sense. The only way in which Apple could get away with releasing a third version within the same year, was if it was to offer a cheaper stripped down version of the iPad 2.

Personally I don't see this happening....

iMac 21.5 review dropping soon

Before my purchase of the new iMac, I literally searched high an low for detailed information on the performance of the machine.

I found absolutely nothing helpful apart from a few benchmark tests, because of this I will be publishing an iMac review which shall include details on the subjects people actually care about!!

Be up soon!
